| A bit of a change
OK, so it's been a while since anything new's happened on the forums/site in general, so while I'm in the mood, I decided to mix things up a little bit and cut out some of the lesser used subforums and the like, while mergng some of the others. You'll notice that the random garbage and suggestions forums have gone, no one really used the suggestions, and the random garbage.. well, most people just post it in the general chat section...
wip maps and map ideas have been merged and can now be found under showcase, as can the mods subforum. I removed the tumultus one altogether since I dont currently have any plans to revive it anytime soon with my work load. The photoshop forums has also been merged with the textures forum, no point having the same thing twice really.
The tutorials have all been left as they are.
Ove the next few days, I plan to start implementing the idea I brought up in the general discussion forum. I think it has great potential, and these forums are as good a place as any to get the whole ball rolling, so hopefully, if it picks up, it'll soon have its own dedicated site and forums. I'll make further news posts on this as I develop it.

| The latest Site - 10/01/2007
Well, I'm pretty pleased with the way things are now with the site, It's a nice simple layout and its not some pukey aqua bluey green. I still need to code up a few pages, such as the friends and the donate pages, but that can wait for a couple of days. There are still a few bugs, I think last time i tried, you can now log in successfully from the main site using the loginbox to the left, but it won't log you out with it. I don't think thats too big an issue, and personally I'm not sure whats going wrong there, so I'm going to leave that for the time being too.
I've also reinstated the google ad's on both the main site and the forums. I originally wanted to keep this site free of advertising, but, well, needs be as needs must, it's only google ads and personally I don't think they are too bad or intrusive, And besides that, I could just really do with the cash, since this is all paid out of my back pocket. So if you see an ad that looks interesting, just click it and take a look and help out the site and me in the process. just please don't go mad and click it a thousand times. Google doesn't like that.
Other than that, I hope everyones having a good new year :)

| Welcome Back, And a Happy New Year - 31-12-2006
Well, Another year has come and gone, we've had people steal our content, shut those idiots down. We've had an upsurge of bots, Shut those down too. Malicious Code put on the site, Stopped that.
All in all it's been a bit of a crap year, but i suppose you could say a bit of a good year cause despite all that were still here and still winning IWM is two years old now and with a new site being built now I'm in the zone, it will hopefully be a good year for it too in 2007.
So to everyone who has stuck by us and supported us in our times of need, We salute you and wish you a happy new year, Don't get too drunk and remember, beer goggles are NOT a good thing ;)

| Run a Virus Check - 2006-11-10
Seems some idiot hacked or somehow found a way to change the files on the ftp and added a malicious bit of code to the bottom of the main index. if you;ve visited the main site at all in the last few days, you should run a full system scan and check just to be safe, even if youre anti virus auto scans everyday.
I'm really sorry for any trouble caused, All malicious files on the ftp have been removed, all the passwords have been changed and hopefully it won't reoccur. I've shut down file submissions. I'm 99% sure they wouldnt be able to do anything that way, but who can tell these days. The only things allowed now are tutorial submissions and comments as these only allow for standard text.
Once again, I apologise for any trouble caused, hopefully it was cought before any widespread damage could be done.

| Tumultus: Deathmatch - IWM Mod - 2006-08-23
So, we're doing well with our deathmatch based mod, weapons are in and working, models are made, animations are not far off being completed. skins need doing annnnd... I created a moddb profile for us, you can see that here...

| Downtime - 2006-08-08
Apologies everyone for the unexpected downtime yesterday/today, Apparently one of the server HDD's failed which currupted all the databases. We should be back up and fully functional again now, hopefully we didn't lose any posts on the forums, I took a quick look and they all seem to be there so its all good :)

| random updates - 2006-07-10
Hey guys, So, I added a few new maps to the site, these are only available via filefront as i'm no longer hosting maps on our server, I just don't have the space to constantly add more files, eventually all maps will be available through our filefront account only.
You may have also noticed that the images for our tutorials now have Iwannamap spread across them. I apologise for this, i really do, but i'm afraid you will have to live with it from now on, I'm not going to have people direct linking to content on our hosting, using our bandwidth without even asking, and worst of all claiming the tutorials as their own and not giving credit to the people that wrote them. This obviously only applies to those images hosted on the site, the tutorials that use images hosted on the likes of image shack won't have them, as thats considered public anyway. Over the next few weeks im gonna be slowly going through, updating the site with various things, and since maps will now be hosted elsewhere, it frees up space so i will probably bring back the image upload with your tutorials.
I'd also like to say a big thanks to everyone who fought in our corner in respect to the idiot stealing our content. It's nice to know that the community as a whole sticks together and doesn't stand for this kind of thing, whether its happening to their own site or not. So thanks guys.

| Sigh, some people never learn - 2006-07-08
ok, so another site has popped up, and they have directly ripped the tutorials from our site without crediting anyone, and without even bothering to rehost the pictures. This is a big no no folks, this isn't just some smalltime personal website that you can f**k about with. if you screw with me then i shall take whatever action is necessary to bring you down. they have 48 hours to remove all the tutorials from their site along with the direct linking to pictures hosted on this site or I shall start persuing legal action, first with my webhost and then with theirs. this isn't just a case of them stealing our content, they are also stealing our bandwidth, which costs me money and my webhost, the last person that did that to this site found himself in a world of shit. so please, take this as a warning and don't attempt this, not only does it make you look totally unprofessional, but you will also be scorned by the community, no one likes cheaters or scammers or people plagerising other peoples work. We work hard to make this a great site and a great community for people to come and be a part of, we will not let a few idiots spoil it for us.
